# Roadmap

> Safenet's roadmap from Beta to a more open, resilient, and sustainable transaction-security network.

Safenet is evolving from its initial Beta network into Safenet Aegis: a more permissionless and resilient transaction-security network with broader security coverage, Sentinel-based checks, onchain enforcement, participant fees and rewards, SAFE staking, and SafeDAO-governed protocol parameters.

The roadmap below shows the current direction. Future milestones and timing may change as Safenet evolves.

## Q2 2026 - Safenet Beta and SAFE staking

Safenet Beta launched the first live version of the network and validated its core architecture.

Focus areas:

* Launch the Safenet Beta network following SafeDAO approval.
* Establish the initial Validator set.
* Introduce SAFE staking and open delegation.
* Deploy the Safenet consensus and attestation infrastructure.

This phase established the foundation for Validator coordination, SAFE staking, and decentralized transaction attestations.

## Q4 2026 - Safenet Aegis and Safe Wallet integration

Safenet Aegis launches in Q4 2026, expanding the network from basic transaction attestations into a broader transaction-security system integrated into Safe Wallet transaction flows.

**Safenet Aegis**

* Introduce Sentinels that check transactions against the Safenet Charter.
* Expand transaction-security coverage beyond the Beta checks.
* Add onchain enforcement through the Safenet Guard.
* Introduce transaction-check fees for Sentinels and continue SAFE-denominated rewards for Validators and Delegators.
* Keep SAFE staking and open delegation as part of the Validator participation model.
* Keep key protocol parameters and participant sets under SafeDAO governance.
* Improve network resilience by separating transaction checking, attestation, enforcement, and governance roles.

**Wallet integration**

* Integrate Safenet checks into Safe Wallet and surface results during transaction review.
* Add Guard enforcement as a subsequent Safe Wallet integration stage.
* Support integration by other wallets built on Safe smart accounts.
* Expand real-world usage of Safenet checks and transaction fees.

This phase develops Safenet into a more permissionless and resilient security network with clearer economic incentives, decentralized governance, and real-world wallet usage.

Safenet is permissionless and is not limited to Safe Wallet. Compatible wallet providers can integrate Safenet independently.

## 2027+ - Scale and broader participation

As Safenet usage grows, the network can expand beyond its initial Aegis rollout.

Areas of development include:

* Integrating Safenet into additional wallets built on Safe and compatible smart-account infrastructure.
* Supporting additional networks.
* Evolving transaction fees beyond the initial flat-fee model.
* Strengthening economic accountability for Sentinels and Validators.
* Expanding Sentinel and Validator participation.
* Exploring more specialized Sentinel security services.
* Scaling arbitration and other network processes as usage increases.
* Expanding the Safenet Charter to cover additional transaction-security risks.

Exact mechanisms and timing remain subject to further design and SafeDAO governance.
